What are some really good post great war classical songs?
I read the bold type print of your question and thought I would respond because you were wanting songs that were popular after World War I (the Great War). Then I read the small print and noticed that you were wanting people to comment on which of the three titles that you listed were 'great'. None of them had anything to do with World War I or war in general, so I'm lost as to the reasoning behind this question. But in my humble opinion, George Gerswhin's Rhapsody in Blue is the best composition of the three. O fortuna is a powerful choral work that has recently received too much exposure in commercials and movies. It is not representative of the entire work from which it comes (Carmina Burana by Carl Orff)
