Why are feminists putting out the fires with gasoline?

Why do feminists react with so much venom and fury at the merest slight against any woman and her precious rights, we all encounter problems in our daily lives but feminists overreact so vehemently as to inflame still further and in doing so lose all credibility and condemn themselves once more to the loony fringe.
