Do I have to roll my change to bring it to the bank?

I'm a waitress so I accumulate a lot of change and I have gone to the bank to get those paper rollers, but I've found that a lot of my coins, for example, loonies and toonies, I don't have enough of them to roll but I have too many of them to just keep in my wallet. So for that, do I have to roll them or can I go to the bank and just exchange them? I have an account at Scotiabank.
